Kubo is a certified personal trainer (NASM-CPT), group fitness instructor, and inclusive kettlebell coach. They believe that strength training and movement is for everyone, regardless of size, background, or ability. After changing careers in 2022, they began teaching group fitness classes in early 2023 and started working with private training clients shortly after.

They have worked with individuals across various experience levels and stages of life, including those who are new to exercise and those who are returning after time away for injury/illness or other reasons. Kubo's mindful approach to movement and building strength is deeply influenced by their ongoing study of yoga and Buddhism. They believe that building one’s individual strength and capacity for movement can have great benefits for the community as a whole, not just the individual.

When they are not teaching group classes or working with clients, Kubo enjoys powerlifting, cooking (and eating), and hanging out with their cat, Winston.

Treatment Names/Descriptions + Pricing:

GROUP FITNESS DROP-IN CLASS

Join me for a 50 minute midday, mat-based workout within a small group setting. This reoccurring, weekly opportunity is only $20 per person, with up to 5 people max starting on Wednesday August 6th, at 1pm!

Classes will focus on building strength & stability using bands, dumbbells, and kettlebells. Masks required + modifications provided — you can take class at your own pace + make the workout work for you! 

PERSONAL TRAINING - INITIAL ASSESSMENT (60 minutes with client/75 minute total booking) — $105

In this 60 minute appointment we will discuss your exercise background, goals, and needs. A movement (form/technique) assessment will also be completed during this visit. We will cover any questions or concerns you have about starting (or returning to) a movement practice including any accommodations/considerations for future sessions. 

NOTE: If more than 12 months since your last training session you will need to schedule a new Initial Assessment to discuss any changes to your goals, lifestyle, health, etc. over the last year. 

*Initial Assessment is required for all new clients before scheduling any subsequent personal training sessions. 

1:1 PERSONAL TRAINING (60 minutes with client/75 minute total booking) — $90

60 minute one-on-one personal training session. Programming is personalized and customized according to your goals and needs as discussed in your initial assessment. 

*Can only book after Initial Assessment is completed

* If more than 12 months since last 1:1 session require new Initial Assessment

1:1 PERSONAL TRAINING (30 minutes with client/45 minute total booking) — $75

30 minute one-on-one personal training session. This offering is ideal for folks who need or want a shorter session to fit their needs. This offering would also be a great complement for remote programming clients desiring additional in-person support. 

*Can only be booked after Initial Assessment is completed

* If more than 12 months since last 1:1 session require new Initial Assessment

12 WEEKS REMOTE PROGRAMMING - New Client Appointment (60 minutes with client/75 minute total booking) — $295

In this 60 minute appointment we will discuss your goals and what equipment you will have access to for your workouts (home or gym). This appointment also includes a form/technique assessment and will cover any questions you may have about starting a remote training program. Your programming will be delivered via app (Everfit) within a week of your assessment appointment or on a predetermined start date.  

This offering is ideal for folks who have access to exercise equipment (home or gym) and feel comfortable exercising without direct supervision from a coach. This is a great option for folks who would prefer to spend their time/energy exercising rather than planning their workouts as well as folks that need or desire less hands-on support.

12 WEEKS REMOTE PROGRAMMING - Returning Client Appointment (45 minutes with client/60 minute total booking) — $295

In this 30 minute appointment we will discuss any changes to your goals and any updates to the equipment you will have access to for your workouts (home or gym). We can also go over any form or technique questions you may have. During your visit we will cover any questions you may have regarding your updated programming. Your programming will be delivered via app (Everfit) within a week of your assessment appointment or on a predetermined start date.  

This offering is ideal for folks who have access to exercise equipment (home or gym) and feel comfortable exercising without direct supervision from a coach. This is a great option for folks who would prefer to spend their time/energy exercising rather than planning their workouts as well as folks that need or desire less hands-on support.
