Community Care Day reflects Portland’s culture of grassroots organizing, neighborhood activation, cross-cultural celebration and culturally responsive community care. Hey Doc Clinic is a Latiné-owned healthcare provider committed to serving BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and historically underserved communities in Southeast Portland.

This event activates a neighborhood corridor by combining live music, dance performances, small business and vendor participation, and accessible healthcare education and workshops in a free public gathering. Portland is known for blending arts, activism, and wellness, and this event embodies that intersection—where healthcare is not isolated behind clinic doors but integrated into cultural celebration and accessibility.

By inviting local musicians, vendors, and community partners, this healthcare and cultural festival supports local businesses and community collaboration. It promotes preventative care in an inclusive, stigma-free environment while increasing foot traffic to our neighborhood and commercial district.

Community Care Day highlights Portland as a city where healthcare equity, cultural expression, and neighborhood vitality intersect.

Dr. Montserrat Andreys (she/they/ella) embodies a leadership rooted in cultural awareness, community care, and healthcare justice. As a Latiné doctor and clinic founder, she is building spaces where healthcare feels human, accessible, and culturally grounded.

Her presence reflects strength without hardness, cultural pride, and warmth without compromise. In rooms where representation has long been historically absent, she stands with intention—creating systems of care that center dignity and belonging.

This portrait honors the everyday power of women who choose service, community, and impact.

MOREL INK OUTREACH

Hey Doc Clinic is an independent, BIPOC, Queer and woman-owned clinic offering chiropractic, pelvic health, acupuncture, massage and mental health services in Portland, OR. As a small business, we struggle to have adequate quantities of evergreen informational post cards to distribute at events and schools where we host workshops. We see that you have a Business as a Force for Good, and since we work within three of your Community Impact guidelines, with Healthcare Access, Equality, Culture & Education, we wanted to see if you would be interested in partnering for events, donating resources, or talking about ways to collaborate in the future.

Thank you,

Montserrat Andreys
